From the Top is a non-profit organization that encourages and celebrates the commitment of young people to music and the arts through a weekly NPR radio program enjoyed by 750,000 listeners, live events and in-school residencies throughout the country, K-12 music textbooks, a website designed for kids, teachers and music-lovers alike, and a 13-part PBS television series taped from Carnegie Hall. Each year, From the Top takes its show on the road, performing in concert halls and classrooms from Sioux City to New York City and from Atlanta to Alaska, elevating the importance of artistic excellence in our culture by hailing young musicians who serve as positive role models for their peers and encourage broader participation in the arts.
