This week, From the Top comes to you from New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall in Boston. Among this week's highlights, you'll hear a very young violinist performing a brilliant showpiece by Wieniawski, a teenage pianist performing a nostalgic and flashy piece of salon piano music, and a teenage soprano performing an aria from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro as well as a whimsical work written by a teenage composer. Also, Roving Reporter Hayley Goldbach braves the boys locker room to show us how a teenage trombonist bridges the gap between classical music and hockey.
